Based in Mumbai, Anirban Chakraborty aka Bann Chakraborty has made a career for himself in the music business – as music producer/composer of advertising films for over a decade, working for successful campaigns like “Tata Tea- Jaago Re” and getting nominated on Mirchi Awards for the song “Mar Jayian” in the feature film “Vicky Donor” as composer of the year. He received mentions by Bollywood heavyweights for his songs on the feature film NH10 and working with singers like Arijit Singh, Neeti Mohan, Sunidhi Chauhan. Mohit Chauhan and Shilpa Rao. He continues to produce and compose music for advertising films and features.

Bann started out as founder, manager and vocalist of the iconic electro-rock band Orange Street from 1994–2007, getting featured as part of RSJ’s ground-breaking Great Indian Rock (GIR) compilation album series and playing at the GIR concerts for seven straight years.He also released Orange Street’s debut album, Drive Carefully For Our Shake, in 2000 with the label Magnasound India, and the band toured through Europe – playing at major festivals like Peace And Love in Sweden, Slottsfjell in Norway, the Nottingham Music Festival in the UK and Sundance in Estonia.
